CIVT will admit those students who have high school diploma/GED or passed ability to benefit entrance test administered by the school. All students wiill be interviewed to determine their ability to successfully complete the requirements of the program. The school does not discriminate on the basis of sex, religion, race, color, national or ethnic origin, or handicap. Credit for previous work will be granted at the discretion of the director.
Admission Procedures
Applications to the school may be obtained here or via email or visit us directly. A personal interviewer will then be scheduled with a staff member to determine a student's ability to complete the program and placement adaptability.
Student Services
Advisement
The faculty and staff of CIVT are available to assist in the achievement of their personal, educational, and career goals. Students are encouraged to meet with appropriate teachers and/or staff member as soon as an issue arrises. All discussion are confidential.
Tutoring
A student experiencing academic difficulties in a particular course can arrange for extra help through the instructor in the course or the director of the school.
Placement Assistant
The agency does not guarantee job placement, however every effort is made to help all graduates secure gainful employment. The placement assistant service at the school will be offered to graduate in the good standing, who are always welcome to visit and ask for placement help.
Student seeking part-time employment while attending training may also take advantage of the placement assistant service. This assistance is available only to students whose schedules and academic standing indicate that a job will not interfere with their education, and more current in their financial obligations.

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Saturday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Evening 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
Start Dates
There are 15 different start dates throughout the year. Classes for home health aide starts the first week day of every month and ends within a 5 week period. Classes for nursing assistant starts the second week day of every month and ends within 8 weeks period.

Graduation Requirement
The student must satisfactorily complete all course requirements and must have met their financial obligation to the school.
Graduating Standards
Upon completion of the required hours for the course of training, the student will be eligible to graduate if he/she receives a grade average of 70% on a final test. Students who does not complete all course requirements to graduate, will be given an incomplete. An incomplete automatically changes to an F grade if not rectified in 30 days and a letter will be sent out to that effect. The letter system is as follows:

Grades will be entered on a record maintained for each student. Upon request the student shall receive a transcript.
